‘Tis the season of… eating. The winter holidays are among us, which means lots of family get-togethers and lots of food. And of course, all of that eating tends to build up!
But, some foods don’t add up that much. In fact, they’re so packed full of nutrients for our bodies that they’ve been deemed “power foods.” This holiday season, try incorporating some of these healthy treats into your life to balance out the rich holiday feasts. 1. Apples.
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, and with good reason! Apples are high in fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants, which really packs a nutritious punch. Apples are also very filling, so next time you’re tempted to reach for that bag of chips, try a Granny Smith instead.
